The desire to travel, explore and experience life is in our DNA. It doesn’t matter when or where you look in the history of the world, people love to travel. For me, it started when I was young. My family loves to explore. From just about the time I took my first breath, I started traveling and camping with my family. By the time I was 4 years old I was exploring caves with my dad and grandfather. Not long after that I learned to rock climb and subsequently repel. By the time I was 10 years old I had traveled to a dozen countries. I was never into the sports in the classic sense but love to scuba dive, rock climb,  and explore caves. The wonders of this world never cease to take my breath away.

My love of overlanding comes from my desire to explore. My dad had a CJ5 jeep when I was young. We weren’t into competition rock crawling or seeing if we could climb the biggest hill. For my father and I, we wanted to see where every trail led. Each trip, long or short, was an adventure. The destination wasn’t important then, and it isn’t now. What inspires and drives me is the exploration and adventure.

This is our adventure blog. My wife and I take every opportunity we can to get out and explore. We currently live in the Scenic City (Chattanooga TN). If you like following our adventures, and are ever passing though, give us a shout! We’d love to meetup.
